Wilson said the 70 employees at the factory were able to get out safely. When fire crews arrived, the flames were through the roof and clouds of smoke filled the sky.

CNN affiliate WIFR said one firefighter was injured. No other details were immediately available.

At least 40 agencies and 150 fire personnel responded to the blaze, Wilson told WREX.

It has been all over Twitter today. Gonna take a while to burn itself out, but doesn't appear to be anyone seriously injured.

Chemtool makes a lot of nasty stuff. Carburetor cleaner and other industrial cleaners. That is going to be a nasty fire to control.

What items should I place an order for today before the US finds itself grappling with a critical shortage because this place was taken off line.

any kind of oil based lubricant and grease. I have no idea what that means but if i'm an owner of an auto mechanic place I would be going to the store right about now just for precautionary measures. I don't really use lube, my GF takes care of that.

You are joking, however this was one of the largest grease suppliers in the US, Worldwide industrial impacts will be felt from this

This specific plant? From what I've gathered Chemtool is owned by Lubrizol which is owned by Berkshire Hathaway and Chemtool is primarily customized grease. Probably really sucks for some industrial applications. Seems like it would be a very specific product with not many alternatives.

Isn’t that the carburetor cleaner?

Could you be thinking of PB-Blaster( penetrating oil) ? Both are good stuff and I use them often.
