when that thing's arse was sliding around I think there may have been some concern.
serious side loading on the landing gear, probably going out of service for an inspection

The headwind will provide more drag, so it will be easier to slow down. The headwind also provides more lift, so it may take longer to touchdown. The tailwind will probably allow you to touchdown sooner, but it will be more difficult to slow down because you will be flying in the direction of the wind.
that's not how this works, that's not how any of this works

You land into the wind, it allows for a lower groundspeed

The telephoto lens exaggerates the swaying back and forth.

You might take note of the screen name of the poster you're calling a dumbass. I'm guessing he knows a little bit more about the subject than most.
Obvious expertise means nothing on the OT.

Maybe some, but measuring the lines on google earth and how far the wheels went side to side, it was a good 40-50 ft. drift to and fro. That'd be enough for my sphincter to tighten up.

Cool, I watch Captain Joe on youtube, he has some really good aviation videos explaining how things work and what not. I missed my calling, should have went for a career in aviation.

He was probably just battling the airbus itself for control.

B52s land at extreme angles. Their landing gear actually rotates to account for it. LINK

I probably should have let that phone ring

Most impressive part was that the gear didn't break.

That was a damn good landing.
That was a terrible landing. I've never flown an A380 but I've never had a landing that atrocious and I've flown in/out of Newark and Chicago 100s of times with some pretty serious wind conditions.
I've also dead headed idk how many thousands of legs and never had someone land like that and I've had some bad landings.

The inflight bar on the 380 is probably a mess now.
