Anyone who thinks LVPD are the ones actually running this investigation, is halfway to being an idiot. This has the FBI's fingerprints all over it.
Why do y'all think Lombardo has to look to them for answers in the middle of a press conference.

Yeah, since the shooter acquired his guns in several states, the FBI can, and I think has, claimed jurisdiction. But are people here asserting some sort of conspiracy/coverup because of this?
Sorry, I just can't go there.

I think Paddock was the only shooter, nor was he gun running or any of those other stupid ideas.
I firmly believe they know the motive, but aren't releasing it for some reason.
An agent claiming it isn't "prudent" to say how many cell phones Paddock had is quite revealing, imo. Because that seems like a very innocuous question. What does it matter how many cell phones he had if there is no apparent motive, and they know nothing about him?
Unless that ties to a very important part of the investigation they think the public knowing would screw up.
Beyond that, there's a whole host of things that don't add up because they've been double talking so much.

In other news....Laura Loomer says Security Guard Campos is no longer in the employee database at Mandalay Bay.

Looker has been on that arse! She’s the one that broke the check in of the 25th.

She definitely has someone she knows in security there. The pictures she tweeted out last week were legitimate.
But she is provocateur who doesn't mind bending the truth.

Should the FBI step down and let the LVPD run this investigation?

I mean, I'm sure the public would know a lot more information regarding the case right now.
Speaking of the FBI trying to hold back info. I wonder what happened to TD's man on the inside of the Mandalay Bay. He hasn't posted in this thread since around last Wednesday. We could have used his knowledge more than a few times. For example, during the discussion of whether or not there are security cameras in the halls.

If everyone is going to speak from an authoritative view, it’s LVMPD fwiw.

I find it odd that they have just flat out changed the story on details, some large, some small over time. I guess it is a fine line between keeping the public informed, calm, reassured and telling accurate facts.
More likely the changes are intentional, to misdirect. Put people at ease that might slip up.
Seriously though, 7 days for you get the time line correct? Almost everything has a time signature these days.

this guy has to be an illegal?
only other explanation for why hes now "missing" is because hes a suspect?
im not sure i understand why this guy, a hero, is not out touring the country cashing in on his fame.

Why the frick does it matter?
The FBI is running it, not the LVMPD. You were implying the locals suck at their jobs, when they are actually being handled by the feds, and can only contribute where they are told.
The FBI has every electronic device that was collected for this investigation. LVMPD has no access to it, and electronics are going to be the greatest data resource available to the investigation.
Basically, it doesn't matter what I think. Just don't blame the LVMPD when they are only being used as a front for an FBI investigation.
Again, the Sheriff has had to ask an FBI agent for answers to press questions on more than 1 occasion over the last week. If he knew, or his department knew, those answers would be in the notes he has in front of him.

So the right dept is running the investigation? At least we agree on that.

Loomer has been doing yeoman's work on this.
So now we also have reports that Paddock was using the service elevator and hero Campos is, at the least, no longer listed as an employee with MGM. Wow.

Yeah, nevermind that she was the one driving the issue that Paddock checked in early, and identified the room service receipt for 2.

Don't twist this around, like a woman would, to make yourself look smart.
You wanted the LVMPD to turn the investigation over to the FBI because its such a shite show(my paraphrase). But now, after finding out they've been running the aforementioned shite show the entire time, you're trying to say they are the right ones for the job.
So is the investigation still a shite show, or is it being run well because the right agency is the one heading it up?
