They've been to Lafayette before, well technically Youngsville.

pretty proud of the stories coming out about the selflessness, courage, and quick thinking of the civilians and first responders at the scene. glad to see the rest of the country is getting an earful from the media about the good folks of south louisiana for a change. good job, lafayette.

Good. There were 5-6 cops around them when I passed earlier. Hopefully they were run off. Or they got too hot with their gay arse matching suits and top hats

They were primarily on UMC property with a few others on the remaining corners

Really? What is there to protest in Youngsville besides cookie cutter neighborhoods?

Investigators still trying to piece together timeline from when Houser arrived in Lafayette on July 2nd or 3rd.

Didn't another poster in this thread say that he knows some people who saw something strange in a theater in Baton Rouge around that time?

I was teaching at gallet and a kid in the second grade wanted to talk about his gay moms, teacher said nope, not a topic for 2nd grade, mom went all ACLU and got the teacher in a bit of a bind, boom protesters showed up in support of teacher who really had nothing against gays in the first place. It was quite the scene.

Im pretty sure in this day and age that if you told the police someone was in the theater alone, in a disguise, that they would probably check it out.

I called the Lafayette police after we had multiple packages stolen, then the same day as one of the thefts, someone started pounding on the door late at night when I was home alone.

Police gave zero fricks and didn't come over.

It's great that they reacted so quickly after the shooting, but that's because they were told that there was an active shooter at the movie theater. There's no way they would have shown up for a guy wearing a wig sitting in a theater alone.

Stay home. The cops won't let anyone anywhere close to them.

Local cop told me it would cost me $256 to bail out of jail if I knocked one of their arse. I put $300 in my pocket and headed to the funeral procession. They didn't show. State and local cops was already set up to protect them.

Anti-religious and zealots are almost oxymorons. Usually the only time someone who isn't religious gets passionate is when someone is a religious zealot is saying or doing something absurdly stupid in the name of said religion.

The only time I've ever seen religious people get passionate is when an anti-religious person is saying or doing something absurdly stupid against religion. That is usually when the anti-religious person comes all unglued on the religious person.

It seems as though you and I have completely opposite experiences or you missed the first part of the fray.

Yes it was legal,

You didn't catch the little sentence Edmonston threw in there about the Sheriff over there said it was not a legal purchase?

I don't see how he could possibly purchase a gun legally. Didn't he have an arson conviction? Didn't he spend time in a mental facility. A felony conviction doesn't allow a person to even touch a gun for the rest of their life in the few cases I know of. Also, a background check would turn up his mental problems. That is a no-no too.

I think Edmonston didn't want to throw the top cop in Phenix City under the bus.

Does anything good come out of Phenix City???
