I appears that the local law enforcement is doing a good job. I have seen way worse Sandy Hook in particular.

Prayers to my little cousin who is in critical condition thanks to a mentally unstable a-hole with a gun.

What we really need is more public resources for mental health services. Good luck getting an appointment at a mental health clinic if you have no insurance or just medicaid. Incidence of mental illness is also higher among lower socioeconomic classes. Not a good situation.

While I agree with this... I don't think that's the case here.

I would seem, based on the area, that this guy is probably not poor or on medicaid.

Nor was the piece of shite in Newtown.

It's a HUGE problem in this country where we are overmedicated.

WBRZ isn't even covering it yet. Yikes. That's why they've always been #2 to WAFB.

They have said the name of the Colorado shooter over and over again during this coverage.

It will be out of the news by next week and on to the next story .. it's the cycle of life, and we are all just willing participants .. the media's not the devil here .. they're just feeding us what we want .. you probably have one of the news channels on, watching right now .. nothing wrong with that .. just a bit hypocritical to point the finger at the evil media at a time like this ..

I have the local news on right now. I'm not going to watch the big news channels not because of some moral high ground, but only because they make me mad with politicizing everything.

I think the thing I'm upset about is that the news is more about making money than reporting the news. But if I'm honest with myself I have to admit it's always been like this. It just seems to be in overdrive now. I'm getting old I guess

Jindal definitely put a political spin on that speech. But that shouldn't really surprise anyway.

Yeah. The chief (Craft?) seems like he's got his shite together though.

Terrible situation

How so?
Asking for prayers?
Thanking the first responders and doctors and nurses?

What an opportunist.

Buddy.... You are in politics.

It was a horrible speech. Should have been as gov of the state and not political candidate.

You know better, my friend
