What about when Joe Biden rescinded Trump's Executive Order that lowered insulin prices? Did he get the same treatment as Shkreli?

The problem with the EO is it just applied to Section 330 FRHCs and did nothing to reduce the costs of insulin or Epipens for the VAST majority of people that need them and likely would have negatively affected a lot of those.

Price fixing in Pharma probably needs to occur but it is a highly complex, somewhat anti-capitalist idea that never seems to get much traction.

Morally he is a piece of shite but as far as the pharmaceutical industry is concerned, he didn't do shite compared to some of the larger pharmaceutical companies.

He is a saint compared to many in that industry. And it's hilarious that he was sentenced to 7 years in prison while the federal government signed off on complete criminal immunity for the Sackler family (civil immunity was recently overturned), despite their actions being responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people.

Holy shot.

Read that article and realize all he did was Phyzermectin that Daraprim drug.

Gotta know where to grease, Martin.

I sort of agree. But he made himself an easy target to be railroaded by being such an insufferable a-hole.

Phizermectin is not a thing except in the minds of trolls and their catches. It wasn't evergreening and even if it was it isn't what Shkreli did, patents had nothing to do with his modus operandi.

He bought orphan drugs with no generic equivalent and jacked up the price substantially. If done properly it is legal despite being arguably immoral. The entire process around orphan drugs needs to be looked at as it is awash in profiteering.

If Shkreli had avoided a high profile, just being an outright a-hole in interviews, and also not engaged in securities fraud nobody would know his name and he would still be quite wealthy.

When he was in Stepbrothers I had the same feeling of his being a punchable face.
