maybe- seems more likely this incident will be memory-holed. Nobody in academia or the media will want to refer to it again, unless it's to criticize the reaction by the public.
I agree with you in the sense that they won't WANT to teach it, but I don't see how you can just pretend it didn't happen. There's no denying the damage that's happened here and I just don't see a way that any reputable marketing program, Ivy league or not, can avoid it. Even if it is to criticize the reaction by the public. Wharton, Kellogg, Dartmouth, Stern, Stanford... I know they all have an agenda, but to send a class of people out into the world who think something like this is what marketing is SUPPOSED to do? It would certainly give pause to companies putting their advertising in the hands of people like this - either by choice or eventually by force.
By the way, I see that AB is about to ramp up the BL advertising in an effort to make people forget this happened. But it's already ingrained in the mind of light beer drinkers everywhere. There's no putting the genie back in the bottle. AB will always be around. Budweiser will be revered for all time (assuming everyone learned a big lesson). But I think the name, trademark, and really all intellectual property associated with "Bud Light" is going to be permanently marred and I don't see how they get out of it.
Anyone seen drinking it will be seen as some kind of activist as opposed to a person just drinking a beer. That's like a nuclear bomb going off for a marketing department... It's Anheiser Busch's worst nightmare coming true and I don't see how they steer around it. I don't care how much time passes. Men who drink beer have a longer memory than AB has money.

It does the opposite. It makes them prisoners to ideology and collective groups.
Feminism is the antithesis of individuality. They have no personal values, so they choose a collective identity.

I know we were down 22% on bottles and 25% on draft after the first week. Ultra sales had a bump. All of that is pointless unless it is still going on months down the road and people aren't still buying AB products
