I live in Washington. The only discernible difference between before and after legalization was the drop in murders of illicit weed dealers. And also the almost complete elimination of illicit weed dealers entirely due to legalization and over supply (thus cheap to consumer) legally obtainable.

Not surprisingly the weed stores near the Idaho border radically outperform peer stores per-capita.

My old nextdoor neighbors used to come over and hang out with us fairly regularly and drink, grill or boil crawfish.

They'd go cloud up my garage most of the time because I asked them to smoke in there so it wouldn't drift over to other houses (cop lived 2 houses down). It didn't bother me.

I just didn't want it to be traced back to me due to the illegality. Marijuana doesn't bother me one bit otherwise. It should be legal. Less harmful than alcohol imo.

In my late 40’s and it’s very common in my friend circle. I’d say half our friends do, half don’t.

I think most people have their poisons. For some it's speed, others alcohol/opioids/marijuana, others money, sex, material possessions.

Vast majority of my friends smoke.

Funny work story. I work in a high tech field and we had this front line support team of like 50 people. HR decides they want to crackdown on drug use or something....aka, someone trying to make themselves relevant.

HR sends down word to the director of this support team to let him know what's coming. Director tells HR they MUST cancel the test or he will instantly lose 75% of his team. HR backed off and no drug tests were given

I feel like weed has been socially acceptable for quite some time now.

It just hasn't been legal

Never heard of Marijuana. Is she Venezuelan? I dont hang out with Venezuelans. I'm not opposed to them I just don't know any. I'm sure if I met one then I might could pass better judgement.

Ya theres way too much money in it to close pandoras legalization box now. In Louisiana I was paranoid of losing my job or getting arrested or having my eyes too red in public.

But here theres hardly any stigma for it at all. Most jobs dont even test for it, not even pre-employment screening. Makes hiring too much of a hassle. If a guy can spill his way down the street in NOLA with a hurricane theres no reason you should be shaken down and extorted for smokin some weed.

I work in tech too.

I've worked with plenty of people that partake and I don't care. I just know that my family depends on my income and that I am subject to random drug tests even though I've never had one in 8 years. That's still enough for me to not do it. Being older and responsible wasn't always my policy though

Who cares. All smokers smell like shite just in different ways. One smells like dumpster ash and the other smells like somebody shite in their shirt pocket.

The combination of the two makes for a surprisingly bright, clean aroma however
