is that spot in Wyoming the spot where commercial jets can't 100 percent safely takeoff.

I'm having a hard time believing that Nola weather is worse than Mobile. I've lived in both, and they're really miserable. The only difference is there's nowhere good to swim around Nola.

I was in San Antonio in July and it was the hottest fricking weather I’ve ever experienced and I grew up in Louisiana. If that’s normal for San Antonio in July then this map is wrong.

Agreed. Moved from Baton Rouge to Austin. Austin is for sure hotter

Austin experiences higher average high temperatures than Baton Rouge in the summer, but significantly lower humidity. The wind is also blowing 5 mph more, on average, throughout the summer.

What’s up with the small red pockets in South Georgia?

Can we get some reparations or something...

Because it never floods here in the summer huh?

Snow and Ice don't melt uniformly that's why you get a lot of flooding when the creeks that drain the area usually damn up with ice for a bit.
You get flood events all over during the melts. Unlike say BR where we got a big one in 83 and besides the same creeks and streets that flood from a strong piss went for a good long stretch until 16.

It is not significantly less humid here and we never have afternoon thunderstorms. Therefore it never cools off. On top of that skies are usually cloudless. Austin is hotter trust me

Not according to science

The lack of wind is the reason Louisiana is miserable in the summer. It's the reason I went got out of construction and went back to school. That along with low pay and douchebag bosses who I was smarter than.

I know that you're truly from Louisiana with that statement.

Yeah. They're called "The Rocky Mountains".

Ft. Polk is the hottest place on the planet. Zero wind, 120% humidity.

I choose to take that as a compliment

Woof, those bosses must have been impressive.

Mobile is awful weather wise. I believe it's the wettest city in the US too.
ETA - may have been Biloxi.
Either way, it's a bit windier in both cities which impacts this kind of measurement.
