What are some examples of the Mandela Effect for you?

The main Mandela Effect thing I find weird is the Fruit of the Loom symbol. I swear to God it used to have a cornucopia. And that seems like a detail that's pretty hard to misremember, unlike the spelling of Berenstain Bears or something.

Fruit of the Loom is one for me too. I refuse to believe it never had a cornucopia.

The Fruit of the Loom logo is the one that gets me. I am certain it had a cornucopia. And you will never convince me otherwise.

There was no movie called Shazaam that featured Sinbad.

The Mandela Effect is not real.

It's named for a very famous person dying in prison in the 1980s, even though he lived for like two more decades.

You're just sheep.

A lot of people think USC won a national title in 2003, but it actually never happened. They didn't even play in the championship game.

Weird

I don't misremember Mandela dying in prison (I wasn't born until 1990 anyway), but most people who misremember Mandela's death misremember it as occurring sometime in the 1980s, usually the mid to late 1980s. Most of the people can't cite an exact year for Mandela's death, but think it happened in roughly the 1985-1989 time frame. Occasionally there are some variations on this, like some people misremembering him as dying in the 1990s shortly after getting released from prison, and even a few people who thought that apartheid never ended in South Africa and thought that Mandela died still in prison around 2003. Apparently nobody thought he died any earlier than the 1980s.

That Dolly doesn’t wear braces in Moonraker. Apparently she doesn’t but tons of people, including myself, thought she did.

Ed McMahon never worked for Publisher's Clearinghouse Sweepstakes. He worked for some knock off company that ran a similar promotion.

He worked for American Family Publishers.

He sure as hell did a great job marketing for the other company though. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills.

Same.

Side note- I never understood how that kind of business model worked, just going around knocking on doors handing out checks... never knew anyone that this happened to, either.

I honestly think this one can 100% be explained because of Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls.

I think eventually people just merged this with the actual monopoly man.

It probably drives me the craziest too, but at this point, I would expect there to have been much more proof of it. No way we just also lost all of the fruit of the loom clothing from that time period. I'd expect a lot more people to have come forward with old clothing with it on there by now, and that really hasn't happened.
