This is how I'm leaning.

Never go near a person who owns a pit is the moral here I guess.

Agree.

I gotta say, my German Shepherd (RIP) would have attacked too, but not killed. There are breeds of dogs that are protective and you have to exercise caution around them.

Keep up the good work Darth, I think there should be a pit bull story posted everyday.
Seriously.

The lesson to be learned here is don't own a pit bull if you have heart problems.

There are no trailers in my neighborhood I highly doubt you would see me, unless you were cutting one of my neighbors grass.

BTW: If i ever saw you irl while walking my dog, I would unleash him the moment we made I contact. He is friendly tho

All the people saying it's not the dogs fault: what would have occurred if the dog was not a pit in this case? How many other breeds could the guy have owned that would have attacked but come no where near the point of killing the good Samaritan?

dogs do what dogs do. the fact that you can find these stories with such frequency is impressive. Not knocking you, just not sure what the angle is. Are you going for a breed ban?

That meme is accurate. I remember when rots, dobermans, and German Shepherds were the devil.

I'm not taking up for pits at all. Hell, my mom had a weenie dog that would bite the hell out of you if you tried to kiss her bye.

Any breed can be overprotective of their owners if they're not socialized. But it does seem to happen a lot more often with pits. This story is very sad.

For some reason, You show be mad at ole TIGERLEE.

True. But when other dogs attack it's some peroxide and a band aid. When a pit attacks, people die.

This is the difference between the pit (and mixes) and most breeds.

It's not the dogs fault. It's the guys fault for owning a dog that will kill with such ease.
