Friend of mine used to do this with pressure washers. There was a security chip/fob plastic thing he would clip off then head straight for the returns counter. Insane.

If its anything like the stores around here they get the biggest entry level dumbasses they can find and put them in cashier or customer service roles and are basically standing there on the clock giving zero fricks while people walk right out and pay for only half their shite. It probably goes on nationwide. I dont see how their shrink (stolen merch) numbers arent killing them but apparently its nbd.

Knew a guy who would hang outside of gas station with his company Gas card.
Would offer to pay for people’s gas on his card in exchange for cash.
Surprisingly he made a decent amount of money.
Unsurprisingly, he was fired when he had a 20K gas card bill.
