People dress as inappropriate and awful people and situations since whenever. People made fun of Steve Irwin’s death, I am sure there will be Charlie Kirk costumes, etc. Why are certain things off limits vs other things? I mean most people probably would choose something less controversial but dressing up for Halloween as a nazi doesn’t make someone an actual nazi.

I remember walking in campus at LSU one October evening in 1983. I saw someone in white walking in my direction wearing a Klan uniform. I was a little concerned then realized it was probably someone going to a Halloween party. We said hello to each other as we passed. That moment made me smile. I thought look how far we’d come as a state in a few years.
