So I did a thing...
I've been texting the guy.
Turns out OP's story is true and there is nothing nefarious going on. She was at the pool and not wearing a ring. He says he had no idea she was married.
There was no prior or post contact other than what we've seen.
We can still judge the actions of op, but the other guy seems innocent. Sorry for the anticlimactic ending...
