Why are you defending a criminal? The tape clearly shows some piece of shite assaulting an officer. Baw learned the hard way and won’t be soon to do that shite again.

Just not unquestioningly. I looked at this particular video and thought "thats a guy being pissed and using a dog to get even". Thats what i see.

In reality, without being dramatic and confrontational, using the dog was safer for all involved. But, that doesn't get your panties unbunched, though.

Using that dog was a de-escalation. Not him getting even. If he reacts by engaging that criminal it could have ended very differently.

Dog was used to help neutralize a suspect in a non-life threatening way after the suspect punched the officer in the face and squared off to continue fighting.
That cop did the right thing. That guy isn't small and is clearly violent. He got him down and in cuffs without using a gun.

Fair. Im willing to admit that im ignorant to the K9 protocols and if so apologize to the officer for my incorrect criticism. I simply stated how it looked to me.

Exactly. No telling what could have happened in the rain, with a guy who probably hasn't been patted down and is being aggressive. If the cop engages, shite goes sideways and he ends up shooting and killing the perp, the uproar would be much worse. Using the dog took all of that out of the equation. It was the safest option for all involved.

No thats not what i was doing. And im not sure how you would even think that. I was pointing out the absurdity of "he has a dog, why wouldnt he use it". Thats terrible logic.
Someone late on used better logic and I conceded.
Ive literally admitted that i think my original opinion is wrong. That doesnt mean i agree with everyones sentiments on why it was wrong.
