I specifically referenced the Soviet influence on Afghanistan as a satellite state in the mid/late 70s. You even included my timeline reference in the portion of my comment that you quoted! My entire post referenced pre-9/11 events, yet somehow your reply is about the past "14 years (and counting)".
Seriously, WTF!?!
The typical U.S. citizen didn't give a shite about Afghanistan in the mid/late '70s and probably couldn't find it on a map with three chances. D.C. didn't care either, but saw an opportunity to give the USSR a little payback for supporting North Vietnam.
We have spent 14 years (and counting), gone hopelessly into debt, and lost thousands of lives to "give the USSR a little payback?"

It's all very confusing. It's seems virtually impossible that a commercial airliner could have been involved. But again, I wasn't there. I'm just going by what I heard and read.

Probably for longer than you did. I lost a job in college because I got really mad at a 9/11 truther because he was a 9/11 truther.
But eventually I saw the light just like you did. Started doing my own research. Looking into things.
The truth is out there if you want to find it, but those responsible have done a good job branding those of us who refuse to accept the official government narrative on 9/11 as kooks and tin foilers. I know, I used to be one who shamed and mocked 9/11 truthers.

I have no idea one way or the other, but when I was a kid there was a plane that crashed in Kenner and my dad was called as a first responder to help. We dropped my dad off and I remember seeing wreckage and bodies everywhere.
Why weren't we there any bodies at the Pentagon and in the field in PA?
Like I said, I have no stance on the issue but this is always what I think about having first hand knowledge of a plane crash and what it looks like.
