Sorry i aint forgiving nobody for throwing a 5 year old over any railing. That dude should get life and nothing else. What kind of mindset most he have to do that to a kid. Screw him. Will probably be out in 5 years and end up killing someone else.

Kid is not even out of the hospital yet.
His parents said he would only get another 12 months if it went to trial. That's a ridiculously light sentence for this crime, especially after hearing why he did it.

The more I think about this, the more it pisses me off.
He grabbed an innocent 5 year old and threw them off a third floor balcony in front of their parents with, what he admitted, an intent to kill a random person.
I think he lost his right to live.

Depending on the prison, it's really not.
The rape thing is overblown, although it still does happen. However, if you go into a bad prison and in gen.pop. after hurting/molesting children, you're not going to have a very good time.
They might not kill you, but they're likely going to make you wish they would.
I saw one documentary years back where they went after a child molester so much he offed himself by hanging. They would scream at him all night in his cell, take his food, random beatings from random people out of no where, etc. Guy would bang his head against his cell wall until he hurt himself just to escape to the medical wing.
I'll look up the documentary, can't think of the name.
