Male contraceptive pill comes a step closer with vitamin A blockers

Cliffs:
Researchers from the University of Minnesota in the United States suggest they’ve taken a step closer to formulating one(male pill) by tweaking some experimental compounds that show promise.
Minnesota researchers’ focus is on inhibiting retinoic acid – commonly known as vitamin A – in the testes. Without vitamin A, testicles cannot make sperm.
Bringing any male contraceptive to market requires it to satisfy several requirements.
It would have to be soluble so it could be taken by mouth. It would start working fairly quickly, and it wouldn’t diminish libido. It would be safe even if taken for decades. And because some users would eventually want to have children, its impact on fertility would be reversible, with no lingering ill effects on sperm or embryos.
“Surveys have demonstrated that nearly 80 per cent of men believe contraception is a shared responsibility and globally more than 50 per cent of men endorsed interest in an alternative male contraceptive,”
With female birth control you only have to control one egg. In males you have to control millions of sperm.

It makes more sense to unload the gun than to shoot at a bullet proof vest.

Isn't it also true that without vitamin A you will die? At least you will die without offspring. I suspect the creators of this pill are big advocates of Darwinism.

80% of the men surveyed were standing next to a piece of arse they hadn't nailed yet

It makes even more sense to only shoot your gun at targets you should be shooting at.

Actually, I would prefer to be the one in charge of contraceptives. I'm not talking about rubbers btw, obviously.
If I did it myself, at least I'd know it was done right. Seems like women are always missing a day of their pills or don't know when their last period was. Dumb bitches.

We need a "my body, my choice" campaign for men.

We should start a movement for the betterment of the white male.
We could call it the K...
Oh wait, nvm....

I wonder what the feminist groups will say? "How dare these men keep their sperm from us! "

:In a soft spoken voice:
In lab studies some side affects were infertility, nut cancer or nuts randomly falling off. If you experience these symptoms, contact a doctor immediately.

women currently have full control over the BC situation. they can make mistakes (miss a day, take an antibiotic, etc) or straight up lie about being on BC. this is a major risk for men because this is a 18 year, $250k mortgage they may be taking out.
now make no mistake. a world with female BC > a world without BC. BC has also allowed women to assume a more equal economic role and obtain positions of power while being able to have sex and just simply be more free. i'm not saying female BC is bad or anything. it's been the best thing to ever happen to women in the modern world, basically.
but giving men the power to decide if they want to have children means they don't have to rely on women holding up their end of the deal. if a man wants a long-term relationship without kids, he can have it. there is a much lower risk of a "trap" (either on purpose or accident), which gives men a lot more freedom to leave relationships.
just like how the pill made major strides to liberating women, this gives men the ability to liberate themselves
