Usually we have 2 in Washington state and 2/3 in San Diego, unless the others are in shipyard or something...

Either way, I agree with what soemone above said, just stay out at sea for a month, they used to do shite like that just for fun to us, not a big deal at all, especially since they were already deployed.

They can't just dock and take everyone off, many systems have to keep operating, plus im not sure of the shore power capability in Guam, we never pulled in there. At a minimum need to nukes even if reactors are shutdown.

We have bases in Guam, right? Why can't they just all get off the ship and be quarantined, while spread out, on land? I

Good thinking, wouldn't want Guam to tip over,,,,,,,

Not surprising.

Other than USFK the general attitude in the military has been "wash hands but muh readiness."

Air Force shut down pretty quickly, but the Army seems to think soldiers are immune.

They should trend more in that direction than the general population. Charlie don't sleep for the 'Rona. Plus the demographics are the Army and Marines are such that the average soldier probably has as good of a chance getting killed on the drive to or from work or doing something stupid at a bar on the weekend as he does from the 'Rona.

The military deals with acceptable risk every single day and are making their call.

Article says they visited DaNang, Vietnam. Who the hell let that happen? Damn.

I was playing ping pong in Ding Dang. I was in a real high stakes game in some opium den. Turns out the guys I was playing aren't the kind of guys who like to lose. After I beat 'em, they beat me. Worked me over pretty good. And this is hard to say... they held me down and shoved a ping-pong paddle up my arse. It's never been the same.

Nowhere to run, and nowhere to hide. CVN is the most impersonal place on the planet. You can't get away from people.

I know someone on this boat. They left second week of January. He said this morning that there way more confirmed cases than being reported. He has been tested twice now.

USS Theodore Roosevelt is in port in Guam. If they pull everyone off the boat and station them in Guam would that be too much weight on the island and cause it to tip over? Asking for a friend.
