My mom was born in amity and dad was in Lodi, so I know all about rural.

The deer lease I hunt actually borders my grandmas house and land.

I thought about going to deer camp yesterday and staying the night so I cold ride around the lease in the snow for the first time ever.

I went through the circle in amity a few days ago. So weird to have a roundabout out in the middle of nowhere.

Out in the sticks the snow is just fun. I see the videos of bumper to bumper cars on 4 lane highways in the snow and can't even imagine dealing with that.

If you get another chance you should definitely stay at camp during a big snow. No stress just a good fun time. Getting stuck isn't even stressful..just a fun challenge.

It was snowing good here (about 40 min north of Bham) when I got up at 7:00. This was the view from my kitchen window…

You and I don’t live too far from each other.

As a kid I loved going around it. according to my mom it’s been there basically since the town was established.

There used to be an old beautiful fountain in the middle of it until a dumbass trucker plowed through it.

I had sub-freezing temperatures for the last week and I now have about 6" of snow on the ground. It is supposed to warm up tomorrow for a few days. I won't be going anywhere for a few days.

I live in Oak Grove (western Jefferson County) very light rain now. Our main road is good, side roads are slush.

Bessemer here - not too far from ya.

roads by the house is slush - the guy in the truck finally got out, cause a guy on a 4 wheeler ran up and down a few times got just enough traction for him to get out.

wind seems to be cranking up here now.

was looking at the ALAgo website and looking at the number of abandoned vehicle reports around Bham today - it is shite like that that is why i wont drive in this weather - not because I would abandon mine, but because people just leave the shite in the road and really do not know how to handle this weather.

Here just west of Augusta we got almost 1 inch of snow this morning then it switched over to just a little bit of freezing rain but luckily not heavy enough to lose power. Right now it's not really doing anything

No joke. Christina Edwards of WSB Radio tweeted out some totals. Austell got 4 inches, Kirkwood 3.5, Midtown 2 inches.
