No question he does if the conditions are right. I was told that up until about 1990, you could pick 'shrooms all over AU's cattle land but the trespassing calls were overwhelming the campus police so they switched feed. I have no idea if that's actually true but it makes for a funny story.

Interestingly, in context of this discussion The author of the above passages, the apostle Paul, used the Greek word pharmakeia translated in this passage as sorcery . It generally means magic, magical arts, black arts, occult practices making use of drugs and drug potions.

It a practice forbidden and condemned throughout both the Old Testament and the New Testament. Sorcery has many components, and practices combining components but drugs and drug potions are almost always an element.
