Made a light box to sterilize clothing and masks

Buy these items and put it in a rubber made container.
Fairly high wattage UVc lights.
We leave items in it over night.
Don't look at it or shine it on your skin

UV won’t really do a great job on anything it doesn’t hit directly. So a pile of clothes will only get partiality sanitized.

Can’t wait for everyone to get sick next year because their immune systems are shite from bathing in hand sanitizer and participating in entirely unnecessary sanitary practices like wiping off groceries

A few things.
Gf is an NP doing covid only care. These are mounted in box and in laundry room above washer.
Clothes sit in the box for 6-12 hours before going in wash with laundry sanitizer.
It's pretty damned bright inside the box.

I wish they'd find a way to mount those UV lights in dryers. Clothes dried on line out in the sun just smell better, but they get crunchy. If the could put the UV lights in dryers, you'd get the bacteria whacking power of the sun for that clean smell mixed with the gentle fluffing power of the dryer for that luxurious softness.

I'm not saying you should... But you could easily mount one to the door. But with only one angle it would need to be very very bright.
I can say my washer smells...cleaner with one of these mounted right above it and on when it is not in use.

It seems like they could make the center of the drum right at it's rotational axis stationary while the rest of the drum rotates around it and put a flushmount fixture with a UV bulb in it right in the middle. Then, put switches so it would only shine when the door is closed and the dryer is on so it shines only on the clothes while they're tumbling around.
ETA: Looks like I'm not getting rich off of this. Someone's already got a patent on UV lights in dryers.
