during the d todd lee days i remember talking at a bar with a flock of chicks that worked at olol. one of them told me that to stay safe they all hung in groups to go to their vehicles and stuff...i wanted to tell her that only 2 of the chicks in that flock had any real worries cuz dt lee liked to kill semi attractive chicks.
That was a crazy time in BR, everybody was on edge. I was at LSU at the time.

that's where i told the ambulance driver to take me and aubrey when we got nailed head-on by a drunk driver. the driver was new to the city and didn't know where it was so i had to go ride up front with him and give him directions cuz i wouldn't let them strap me down...aubrey was strapped down and was in pretty bad shape.
when they got us to the outside emergency room area, aubrey told me she had to throw up. i was struggling to get her unstrapped in the cart so she could turn to vomit and all the olol workers around us were ignoring the situation until i yelled at them for help...i was pissed.

I worked at OLOL during d todd lee days. We walked to our cars together every morning. I remember us freaking out if we saw any white pickup trucks parked in the OLOL parking garage. Many of us carried pepper spray (even though we were not supposed to). I one time requested security to walk me to my car(had worked a different shift and got off work at 11 pm).....a 7 month pregnant tiny black security guard walked to meet me to "escort" me to my car....and she was only armed with pepper spray and a radio. I felt like I needed to protect her.
I was working for a local gov building inspection department at the time. The inspector's truck was white. He had to go inspect someone, who lived in a rural area, electrical pole. When he pulled up, a woman with a shotgun was at the door. With the front door open and standing right behind her screen door. The inspector said he didn't even bother to get out. He just backed out, left and sent the utility company the go ahead to turn on her power. It was a bad time to drive a white truck...

One thing I noticed moving out towards lafayette. All the oil companies have white work trucks. The dealerships and parking lots are full of them.

Pam Kinamore's brother-in-law lived next to me in the apt complex I lived in at that time. As neighbors, we chatted with him all the time. He had a white pickup truck as well and he told us about the police questioning him heavily about it.

A lot of contractors in general have white trucks. And when it was all said and done, DTL didn't even drive a white truck right?
