Ken is pretty nice looking when he’s not covered in mud. I bred him for turf, so he’s a good sized and big boned throwback kind of horse. No spindly legs and tiny hooves here. Still not sure where his height came from

Georgetown is home of Toyota Factory, are you going to tour there? The James family farm was between Lexington and Georgetown before they went to Missouri but not sure if it was ever given a historical marker and it was a hard boot farm, not a fancy one. Bengals (NFL) training site was there but I think they moved it.
Like Bardstown it had a beautiful downtown with original houses but when Toyota moved there in the 80's it grew rapidly and much charm was lost but not a bad place either and right on the Interstate between Lexington an Cincinnati (I-75). If your focus is just distilleries I suggest staying along the Interstate between Lexington and Louisville (I-64). Midway in Versailles KY is a nice small town but not sure about lodging there. Ask Aspy about Midway. My 2 favorite downtowns are Bardstown and Danville but Danville is in the opposite direction. Both have historically done well in protecting their downtowns and moving modern fast food and such to the city outskirts.
