Her grumble of pugs were great dogs, snuggly but also willing to play.

Glad to hear that. I was starting to worry that you were one of those people that pets did not like!

oh gosh no, they flock to me, I try to play the heavy and act like they're all pains in the arse and I'd like to get rid of them all but we may as well be a rescue shelter

WR is near Versailles. It was a distillery long ago but was abandoned for a good number of years and was nothing left but ruins. WR came in in the 1980's and is new with new formulas.

Willett is in Bardstown but is original from like 200 years ago or some such. It was the Willett family until this current generation but it is the inlaws who have taken over so it is still in the family, so to speak.

Do you know what city you will be staying in?

Most of the distilleries are between Lexington and Louisville but that is 1.5 hour to 2.0 hours apart on the interstate (depending on traffic). Check out this site to get a feel for where everything is. Big key is the spring water they use to make it so look for older distilleries near a natural water source.

If you wind up at any distilleries around Bardstown they have a tavern downtown (most historic) I would suggest. If you are Catholic, Bardstown was the first American diocese in the US (the earlier ones were tied to European churches and the Stations of the Cross are real Mash here for info. They also have an Abbey worth a visit and they protect their historic downtown.
