I have friends like that too. They literally never cook.

I like home cooking too much to do that.

Wages are going up crazy for yall, that is good. For some reason the same is happening in lab management, doubled in last 6 months.

I'm not an "anti masker" and will wear one anywhere they require it out of respect to the staff, but more and more places are being lax and even staff not wearing it lately so I ditch it too.

There's nobody high risk that I associate with.. plus I don't have coworkers or work around others. I laughed at Terd's comment about not giving a shite about others but there's a bit of truth there in the sense that the only place I am near strangers who may be high risk would be at a packed restaurant bar.

If someone is high risk and sitting at the packed Superior/Olive bar during happy hour, I don't think the blame comes down on me if they catch something from me. Being at a bar is not essential - they know the risk.

I hate actual cooking.

And right now? Why even bother? It’s just me. I’ll just heat something up or scramble some eggs or make a sandwich or eat cereal for dinner. Too much work involved for just one person

Well not in my current job

I don’t see us getting raises anytime soon at work. But I have solid job security and a decent pension plan that is now matched 100% of my contributions so I’m happy.

I have an instapot I barely use.

I have my panini press. So I can feel like I’m cooking when I make grilled cheese

It has grilling capabilities as well so maybe I’ll try to cook a steak on it.

It’s just depressing as frick when you are recently divorced cooking an actual full meal for just one person. Like where you actually have a bunch of dishes to clean up, etc. Like “hi let’s rub it in more that you have completely failed at your life right now”

Pass right now

This is totally understandable. I don't cook much when I'm alone and if I do, its only because cooking is my hobby and I'm in the mood to cook something specific.

Its the people who order every single meal delivered from a restaurant that perplex me. I always wonder what they'd do in an emergency situation. You at least have eggs, cereal, sandwich stuff, etc. on hand and won't die.

Like the thread yesterday where folks were driving all around town in an ice storm that had been going on all day long, trying to find food. Even if you don't cook, how can someone be that unprepared? No sandwich stuff? No shelf stable items? Strange.

Oh I don’t do that. That ain’t gonna help me lose weight Plus that is crazy expensive

I’ll eventually get to a point where I actually do want to try and cook more, even for just myself. I just haven’t reached it yet. I’ll get there at some point though.

Had an Atkins chocolate and caramel bar that came in from amazon today. Pretty damn good for what it is.
