Hey CG
Your selection also sounds tasty.
I had homegrown tomatoes from a farm stand but I also got peaches not watermelon since it is the end of peach season now.

Left over pork chops (bbq rub) and oven roasted potatoes... that I promptly dumped in my lap because I was trying to eat quickly before I took my actual lunch break.
What was saved (stayed on the plate) was delicious AF.
Weird day for me, lots of changes at work and lots of reposted 2016 flood pictures/stories.
Add in Jayden acting like a child and Skip passing on...just a weird day.

That is why I have hounds and gardening at my age to balance it out.
Hope the weekend gets better!

One definition used to be, it was an old time variety of the vegetable. And you could take the seeds, save them and grow new plants with them next year. Supposedly with hybrids that was not possible.
I'm not sure if that definition holds any more though.
I'm no farmer, but I do recognize a tractor when I see it.

Heirlooms (those big assed maters from red to purple that most old folks grow in their back yard)
Aldi's and Trader Joe's are the 2 sons of the original grocer. I consider Aldi the "thrifty" of the 2 for the same product at times. Just means you are a smart shopper!

Big assed meat company with market dominate (hence over priced), do you have a local butcher with a local supplier where you are by chance?

mp farad, tell all them golfsters 2 play it where it lies and 2 clean their balls

LCAs definition- don't know what seeds to use
CG- not the big purple one ((twss for dph)
Also I have a farmer I buy meat from but didnt think about a local butcher having deli meat. I know deli meat is not ideal anyway but it is convenient.

Where I get it, it is
get USA rabbit there, not Chinese
get locally sourced deli so much healthier
get Carolina or Mississippi catfish
get local / regional goat / lamb
they also custom grind my sausage links (in 20 to 30 pound lots) using an old family recipe
also have beaten biscuits / real country ham / amish butter / olive nut spread / benedictine / and a whole host of stuff I grew up with that national chains no longer carry
