Yeah, they gave me that xanax and a script for codeine afterwards that combo day 1 I was dead to the world. I could definitely see that being a huge crutch to someone combating depression.

My brother is one of them. Boggles my mind. He’s worked for the same company over 20 years and hasn’t put back a penny for retirement. And he’s staring 60 in the eye.

He did just buy him a rather nice side-by-side though. So he’s got that going for him.

WTF, isn't he at least enrolled in his company's 401 (k) plan?

Nope. He’s two years older than I am and has zero retirement. I’ve been with the same company for almost 35 years and have been consistently contributing to my 401K since day 1. And thankfully have resisted the temptation to touch it. He saw it as a waste. I tried to tell him.

Yep, and did not have an ounce of GAF or modesty when the nurse said she needed to apply the antiseptic before the doctor came in.

As someone who tried everything at a young age to control the feelings of isolation (until I understood who I was), it is the worst thing to give a person in that state.

You lose all care, which is not good when you almost have none left.

Almost all the extremely violent stuff I've done over the years was when I have taken a benzo in that state. It removes all parameters.

That is insane!! I can't even fathom what would make people think it is not necessary.

I have no idea. I think maybe he never expected to make it this long. Now he “jokes” about having to work until lunch on the day of his funeral.

The best part was letting the lady (no pics) know the paperwork said pipes needed cleaning at least a dozen times before submitting the sample to make sure it took. She said she would take some PTO but that seemed like a lot for one day.

Nor do I. Now that our son is gone and married and our daughter is leaving for college, I’m getting into retirement mode already. I plan to work about 5 more years just so I can say I made it to 40. Though I could change my mind and retire sooner if they piss me off. But after that, it’s our time (Mrs Vader and I) to go and do what we want. And I’m very much looking forward to it.

Yeah, glad you've gotten/are getting better Yote. Truly I root for people, and you are an oddball, but I'm rooting for ya.

As a graduate of Katrina U, I'm not even worried. I bet it won't even rain here.
