Lunch Thread- It’s Hawt Edition- 7/3/26

No lunch yet… I’m saving room for a big old ribeye l failed to get yesterday.

Good afternoon, SH.
I had some salmon and a salad. I came into the office today to catch up a bit. When I went out to get my lunch I was able to see some of the WWII aircraft practicing for tomorrow’s flyover.
It’s 98* right now and the real feel is 117*.
During these days I think about the men, on both sides, who fought at Gettysburg. How miserable must it have been in those woolen uniforms in the midst of that battle?
Everybody enjoy lunch, stay cool, and be safe! Time for me to head home.

Kinda pissed. I drove 2 hours to set up Sallie's TV and we were gonna meet at a Mexican eatery known for strong margs and dim lighting...
Haven't seen her and now I'm dehydrated...

Hello, Iona! How neat you got to see the ww2 aircraft practicing! I haven't seen a thing here in the middle of SC. You're right, Gettysburg had to be absolutely miserable- it's a good thing to think about on a day like today- instead of complaining about the heat, appreciate the AC and spare a thought for the brave men of the past.
Pepe... I bet that watermelon is good, but get some real food after expending all that effort!
N2- I wish my hubby would build me a craft cabinet, sadly that's just not one of his skills or interests at this point in life.. maybe in retirement he'll feel differently.
