Sorry i’ll Edit. I really don’t have any animosity towards you and don’t understand why you have such an issue with me all of a sudden

Right? About as confusing as a poster breaking his ban bet because he was worried about people thinking he was breaking his ban bet

It would be a lot better that way for sure. If you can't get that just go to the deli and ask them to cut it as thin as possible.

I get tired of peeling them before I’m full too. That’s when I go for the corn and potatoes

Bullfrog, how do you slice the beef for French dips?
French Dip

I have the dell slice roast beef thin - get good roast beef. Like $12 a pound or something.

Get locally baked French bread. Slice off however much you want for your sandwich. Then slice in 1/2 lengthwise.

Slice a whole white or yellow onion and sauté in 1/2 olive oil and 1/2 butter. Maybe an 1/8 cup of each. Stir often until they start to carmelize. 25? Minutes??

Pre-Heat oven to 400°

Make a gravy packet.

Brush a little melted butter on the inside of the bread. Optionally spread some mayo on the bread, then...

Put 4-6 oz of roast on the thickest piece of bread then cover the other side with Swiss cheese.

Bake both the meat & cheese covered bread for 4-5 minutes at 400°. Cheese should be melting nicely.

Remove. Top the cheese with onions. Put the top half of the bread on and enjoy with gravy to dip into.
