Izzo's on Corporate shut down? So did that other Mexican place off of college you were talking about.

I used to hit up that izzos fairly often while living in the area. That little taco place on college didnt last long. LL and Jones is where I heard it was good and it was but it was a tiny place and they didnt speak much english.

BR really lacks in the pizza department.

Portobello's used to have a small and somewhat expensive pizza on their menu that had a smokey taste and it was very good if it was cooked right. Unfortunately their kitchen staff is very inconsistent with all their foods, and the pizza wasn't cooked right a lot of the times.

samsies, I moved into the Gates at Citiplace after the storm for a while and would smash Izzo's after spending the day at the pool

And I'm not sure if Blaze is owned by the same folk, but Blaze seems to have more quality and fresher ingredients than any izzo's I've hit up.

I never liked Izzo's. Always thought is was the most bland mexican food I'd ever tasted. Filling, but no flavor. I never got the love for it. But I guess if I was out late and drunk, it would be good. But hell, Taco Bell can do that.

Never eaten at Chipotle in my life. I would put it in the same boat as Zippy's, with Zippy's maybe being a little bit better.

Oh no doubt, was getting paid by 2 jobs in Nola and didn't have to even work for the time being, transferred schools again back to LSU from UNO, it was two schools of females all crammed into one campus at the time.

The amount of partying and fricking that went down in BR after Katrina probably broke records. It needs to be memorialized.

Some of the Johnny's stores are franchises and some are corporate-owned. You can guess which ones provide a better product.

I know some of the folks who are senior managers in the company.

Same as anyplace else...if you drop the right names you'll get their best effort.

Never heard of it. What is a Torchy's?

That new burger joint on Siegen with all the ice cream machines is pretty good for a fast food place.

I just wish we had a down home, mom and pop, straight from NY or Jersey pizza joint.
