Thats where you get some of your best food. I use to go to these black ladies who would cook one a week and sell meals. For $5 they would load you up with chicken, cornbread, a serving of red beans and salad. It was good shite, but you felt like going to bed for the rest of the afternoon.

I've put gumbo on top of mashed potatoes when I didn't want rice.
I thought it was good. Never done potato salad though.
