I am not one of those people to yell "fire the coach" until they absolutely proved they are not good for the program. Year one I think every coach gets a pass, year two if they have a worse season than their first, then they are under a microscope..
But there is currently one head coach that is an exception to that rule. Willie Taggart.
I know it's his first year and they have some weak spots, like their offensive line. The VT loss wasn't THAT bad in terms of it being his first game, there were some weak areas on the team, etc, but then they barely beat Samford.. Went to Syracuse and get handled. I watched about 2.5 quarters of that game.
Just looking at FSU's team you can see they are a more talented team than Syracuse, but the team just didn't have any sense of urgency. Clock management mistakes, they looked like a team that didn't care whether they were out there are not. Syracuse loses their starting QB, the backup comes in and they were playing just as scrappy.. As if they didn't miss a beat.
I didn't understand the hype around Taggart when they hired him. He had a overall losing record as a HC, they gave him a $17 million buyout and they might be faced with a decision sooner than later, as to whether or not they should cut their losses and fire him..

Doucet got tackled before he got a chance to catch the ball.
Oddly enough, we lost that game more so because Jimbo didn’t have a very effective game plan and made no adjustments at half.
But Rouge still thinks Jimbo > Big Ed.

As a LSU fan, I want whoever can win. There were a lot of unknowns coming into the seasons. We are 3-0 with two wins vs a top 10 team (one on the road at Auburn). What is there not to buy into until they prove otherwise?

Fine. By the time it got here it was considerably weakened. Healthy amount of rain but the winds were down. A couple of trees down on my street but that's it.
