And Paige

fricking sucks... I was excited about this opportunity.... thought the year was about to start off really solid... now it's like I took a step back behind the 8ball. Now I have to hustle something up and try and get by for now.

For real anyone know of anyone hiring in Nola and can steer me in a direction. I'd be greatful of the opportunity.

Yeah I guess.....

Sorry I'm whining on here.... I mean if it was just a quick gig to make some quick bartending money, shite I pick up pretty often, then it wouldn't be a big deal... but I really saw this as an opportunity to capitalize and really help out these guys while helping myself. I turned down some other work thinking this was going to put me in a good spot for 2017. But I end up having to tell the guy to eat shite.....

Sucks:..

I need to start thinking outside the box.

Anyone have any ideas? I may look into some job training or something. My cousin went and got his HVAC cert and was able to get a pretty good entry level job completely different than anything he had done before in his mid 30s....

I'm willing to take some administrative assistant jobs, anything at this point where I have a set day schedule.

No Pox isn't a secretary but she does have a solid job/career.

Funny you say that because I have met her boss before and have told her It would be a cool job when we were talking about one of her coworkers leaving or something like that.

But yeah If any of you OTers come across any ideas pass them SS's way... I wouldn't let any of you down.

Thanks DPH

honestly man I'm open to give anything a try... I'm or looking for anyone to break the bank to hire me, especially considering I know it will be entry level and I'm willing to earn my keep, always have....

I have done a little bit of everything in my day.... from customer service, bartending of course, FOH manager, worked in a hotel food and beverage, territory manager/sales manager, vendor, jack of all trades for a start up doing everything from securing permits to H&R work, business development, o&g service company office work.... I'm sure there are some more stuff I've done over the years I'm just not thinking of, but I've held a wide range of jobs and usually can jump in to things and figure them out pretty quick.

If you want to work days and try different things, sign up with a temp agency. You can try out different companies and see what they are like before you actually commit to them long term. Also a good way to make connections with different people and different industries.
