What I'm getting at is there is no way some middle age person is gonna jump on a bike without training at the end of August and ride 22 miles. I ride all the time and the last time I rode 20 miles was when I was 13. I rode with my friend that was doing it for his bike riding merit badge.

What kind of training did you do? Serious question.

Doing well. Ready for 5(ish) so I can enjoy tomorrow sipping coffee and watching it rain. It better rain tomorrow or I'm going to be vv disappointed.

used to work with a guy that was hard core into biking, he would tell me about upcoming races and I'm thinking like 25-50 miles, he would do races like from Austin to Oklahoma City

My nanny and my parents rode that trail by Abita brewery/St. Tammany in their 50s/60s. Just how out of shape are you?
