Wow to the 110K.
I would foster, but not to then adopt. I've looked into it and researched it, and it's likely something we will do when we are older if we still have the means.

Yeah it's kinda like you have to choose the emotional infertility rollarcoaster you are gonna ride on and stick with that one.
Adoption was never an option we wanted to pursue(for several reasons) and we knew that from the get go.
We are now pursuing IVF using frozen donor eggs. At least then the child is related to him but we get eggs from someone in her 20s that still has great egg quality.
Pilot...the donor database is like a dating site...for eggs.
You look at profiles with pictures, information about their hobbies, jobs, medical history, etc. Even get basic stats on the donor's immediate family as well.
I'm trying to maintain a sense of humor about the whole thing so I can maintain my sanity during all this.

We actually have 8 embryos still, I cant imagine we'll use all of them, and plan on donating them once we decide to be done
I've heard it's like a worse version of Tinder up here. I'm going to be depressed af if no one wants ours

We actually considered embryo adoption (it is much cheaper) but decided to go frozen egg route.
Some of them you go through an actual adoption agency..and you have to do home studies and all that. To adopt an embryo.
My clinic doesn't do it so we would have had to start all over with a new clinic. Plus I think having that biological connection was really important to my husband.
