Oweo - yes. still in AL. It's been shitty watching everything happen in LA and being here and not able to help or do anything really. Aspy had to evacuate horses at midnight. We had 3' of water in our townhouse that we were renting out. We were lucky but I just wish I could do more to help.

Ugh that sucks Noho, I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm glad they are coming back to CA with yall for the time being though. At least you will be closer to them now and can help them figure out their next step.


We are still waiting for FEMA to inspect my parent's trailer and see how much they will get from FEMA. They are safe at my aunt and uncle's house for now though. Once we hear a final word from FEMA we can start making a plan for them to relocate to AZ by me. I'm researching now for used trailers for sale out here and trying to find trailers already in trailer parks that are in safe areas and don't have expensive lot rents. Also researching to see what kind of agencies they have in AZ to help mentally challenged adults find jobs. Hopefully Walmart can help find a transfer for my sister out here.

It's basically just getting through day by day with them though. Some days my dad calls me crying 2-3 times a day and I do all I can to just calm him down over the phone. Some days he seems to be more positive. I think just focusing on getting through each day at a time is really all anyone can do through all this.

Wow sorry to hear so many people on here were affected by the flooding. My mom got 12 inches and it got up to her top step but never made it in. Good luck with all that.
