With traffic it would take me 30 minutes to get to work in Broussard from my house in Lafayette, sometimes more than that to get home.

No kidding...the house about a block from us that is 4/2 about 1500 sq ft just sold for $620,000. And it needed to be remodeled/renovated before the new owners moved in.

I've been spending some time in Lafayette for work (although not too much because they are not really dying to spend money with us these days).. I like that city.

Ate at Social a few nights ago.

I've still never even been to L.A. Unless you count driving close to it on 1-10. I'm trying to decide now which route to take to Tahoe. Boring Nevada route that goes through Vegas or Cali route that you have to deal with a tiny smidge of L.A. traffic craziness.

this does not exist...we drove to Phoenix back in January and took us over 2 hours just to get out of L.A. And we left from downtown, which is pretty far east.

Yeah I might just opt for the Nevada route. Vegas is much easier to drive through than an hour outside of L.A.
