Does this deal come with attorney-client privilege?
Nope. Don't even have the title back from the LA OMV yet either.

This is where I'm at too. I wouldn't even be surprised if he pleads guilty to the charges. His letter said he apologized for the trauma but that it was a necessary act. If anything, it might align with his philosophy to accept responsibility for the killing while maintaining that it was a necessary evil.
He tweeted something about virtue v. utilitarian ethics that backs this up.
Utilitarian says the action is good if the consequences are good, but virtuous means the action is good if it's what a virtuous person would do.
Then says "rape has worse virtues, murder worse consequences".

Data Engineer in Santa Monica with and undergrad and grad degree from Penn. And a rich family. Seriously doubt this dude was struggling with back surgery payments.
reading about the dude, he reminds me of a former close friend. Smart guy, in tech, rich family and went to a good university. Just smart enough to be the smartest guy in most rooms but dumb enough never to know when to shut up. Get a few beers in him and you'll end up hearing about all sorts of off the wall shite. Would long post on facebook or text me schizo shite.
my boy had some mental health incidents and is doing better but it wouldn't have surprised me if he did something like this when he was off the rails mentally.

Didn't he completely frick up the killing?
Well, no. He killed the guy and got away and left the casings/rounds with the engravings as planned.
Did he look like a retard handling the firearm? Yeah. But he was successful in the end.

I have a great photo of a guy wearing a Che shirt in Athens Greece heading towards a Subway while drinking Starbucks from 15 years ago.
It isn't that weird

Play this out though, what's the reversion point for semi-Christian Nationalists in the Park Cities who are creating private equity funds to promote explicitly Christian (and postliberal) startups?
They can revert to traditionalism, have 8 kids, live in enclaves and have only passing political sympathies for other nonliberal ideas (unions, safety nets, whatever). There is no inherent package of "we have to accept this type of deregulation to think like this" that's is necessarily going to create the pressure point for them to fall back to being a 2010 Republican who thinks OWS is dangerous.
I think there will be conflict, both within the traditional ideological teams (establishment vs. not) and within the non-establishment contingents. But I'm just not sure that these groundswells can't grow/proceed in tandem without necessarily reverting to whatever you think they're LARPing from.

My best friend growing up is wicked smaht but never developed social skills. I know he exists, but after a ton of diligent internet searching, I can find literally no proof he does. He went to UVA and I think he is a teacher somewhere in NOVA.

A lot of major mental issues materialize in the early 20s. Especially things like schizophrenia, personality disorders, etc.

Small niche cultures can still exist.

They can go live on communes too, but that is specifically not your typical leftist nor a large enough population to enter this discussion.

I think there will be conflict,
There will always be conflict, especially if people keep on being retards and allowing themselves to become polarized NPCs. That's specifically why they're being driven to that polarity. Then once that conflict emerges, the people pushing the polarity will use it to make authoritarianism look good (as a protective force at first). This isn't some new thing. We saw it across Europe in the 30s.

Class will dictate reversion.
People in the upper middle class making $200k and LARPing as poor will never allow the actual poor into their communities/lives in any number. Tokenism? Sure. To the point where they affect the school grade, home prices, crime, etc? No fricking way.

I'm hesitant to say "it's not all about class struggle" because in many ways it is, or always seems to be.
But...I don't think what we're seeing is LARPing just because nonliberal views have more recently been trumpeted by the underclasses. Obviously that's not historically the norm.
Maybe it is good.
