I received emails everyday from LSU, not one said that most freshman classes would be online. I'm not saying that my kid would have opted out, but it would have been nice to know beforehand.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not blaming parents or students for getting screwed, but I'm just not surprised it happened.
Unfortunately yes. I never thought the season was going to happen.
I agree.

Did you see CFB being cancelled?

It's ok if they want to have classes online, but they should have let the students and parents know so that they could make informed decisions.
I agree.

t's so nice to know that LSU is looking out for students and debt. SOB's waited until all fees ( room and board) were paid before they told them that most/all of their classes would be online. It's not like parents or students could use the money during this Covid year. I hope all the Administrators catch uncurable STDs.
well, if they don't screw everybody they'll have to allow football and football is a right wing device of entertainment to these libtard academics.

remind me the parameters. Mine has 4 of 5 online too, and that caught me a bit by surprise.
It was supposed to be:
Small classes in large classrooms (think Allen Hall basement classrooms to larger Lockett classrooms)
Large classes in auditorium classrooms (larger Lockett classrooms to main basement Lockett/Coates auditorium classrooms)
Auditorium classes online

Sorry, read this as “Screwing LSU Students.”

Will students be able to use the lazy river they are paying for?

extracurricular collegiate experience.
I know things have changed but my extracurricular collegiate experience consisted of drinking and going to LSU games, Drinking at the bars, The RAs supplying kegs and drinking on school nights in the dorms, looking at girls in the Quad, looking at girls in class, looking at girls passing by my dorm while I was skipping class. Driving to New Orleans to party and drink. I don't think I am leaving anything out.
From what I can tell LSU is now no different than BRCC online.

So thanks to this thread I checked my daughters classes and sure enough, 4/5 are web based now.

All the universities are doing this.
Can confirm.

No they aren’t
There’s no conspiracy
Universities are getting as much money as they can until, physical presence is no longer required for education. It’s no longer needed unless for STEM and Medical fields

Yeah, it’s not just LSU. My son left yesterday headed back to Boston College, to live in an off campus apartment and to take only half of one of his five classes this semester in person, the rest will be online.

Someone needs to sue Boston College also then. They need to understand they cannot do it. They will continue to do it until they are stopped.

Room and board for a Valedictorian, 4.0, 28 on the ACT...
Room and board was $15,762.00
Tuition covered by tops would bring it to over $20K annually living on campus.

Every class outside of labs can already be taught similarly online. It should drastically lower higher education cost, but we know corrupt academics will do whatever they can to keep the money coming in.
People need to get over the concept of brick and mortar schools. Online communication and work is the future in many industries.

I believe this is the plan for most private schools too.
