Typically, I agree with that sentiment.
Surely you have to acknowledge what she's proposing has some pretty serious implications for the students that might make that list, though. Like implications far beyond campus.

So you reprimand her and tell her it won’t happen, can’t happen, and move on. I’m not gonna embrace cancel culture even if it means people I don’t like get fricked.

That's surprising to me. If you have the pre-requisites to a course I would think at least the academic dean, dean of students or registrar would have to get involved. It would have to be submitted as a code of conduct violation.

If she dropped my kid I would sue her personally and the university. I would do my best to ruin her financially because I would ask for megabucks for defamation of character pain suffering and every other bit of BS I could get an attorney to throw at them.
I know no lawyerwould take the case, but I wonder what would happen if the KKK(if they still exist) filed a civil rights suit against LSU and this professor.
They ARE taxpayers, and it isn't illegal to be a racist. On what legal grounds could they deny a racist student admission? Or kick said student out of a class?

I suppose. It's just a bit disconcerting that there are staff keeping secret lists on the student body. It's not out of the realm for her purposely try to fail students if she can't just outright drop them.
