Just a fricking scam that uses scare tactics to get money.
It's like red light camera tickets. They don't go on your record, and you can't be arrested for not paying them. It'll just go on your credit history as an unpaid debt. So your credit score suffers.
I still get a notice for an LSU parking ticket I got 4 years ago. The totally shitty part is that I had a parking pass, but it "wasn't displayed properly". I mean, when they run my plate they see I have a pass.
