SULC class of 2011, Brian Jackson was our commencement speaker. I was too distracted by the wonderful, calm and collected scenes taking place in the audience to pay attention to Judge Jackson. Plus, my fancy chef's hat was 2 sizes too small and cutting off circulation to my scalp.

Clearly, she forgot.

ETA: We had W. Eugene Davis as our commencement speaker, though the lasting memory of speeches was Jack Weiss talking more than anyone else.

Yeah, I was making a play on the "never forget" quote that came out of the wake of 9/11, not an actual comment on her memory.

My sister's speaker was Mike foster. His whole speech was pretty much about how he hated lawyers. He also advised the class not be scum, like most lawyers. His words.

Ours was Joel Klein, who is considered one of the most influential men in public education. Basically turned around the NY Public School System.

I don't remember a thing. The speech exceeded my expectations at the time.

Justice Johnson is not a good speaker in that environment.

We had Bobby J. I felt cheated too.
