What the frick?

I seriously doubt they were withholding insulin shots or heart transplant anti rejection drugs. I suspect if they were withholding medication it was something like ADD medicine or advil.

10 years ago even the lamest of fraternities would laugh at that crap being considered "over the top" hazing. College administrators just need to quit tip-toeing around the subject and admit their ultimate goal is to kick all fraternities (at least the "white" ones) off campus for good.

It's been a long time, but I honestly don't even remember this... That's right you have to actually go to sleep to be "awakened", I don't think we really slept.

If you make it to initiation they aren't going to kick you out. They don't want that shite getting out. So that means one of the newbies snitched. Why on earth would you put up with shite for however long they have to pledge only to rat on your new fraternity. You went through that shite for nothing now.

Will be a complete waste of their time. The decision has already been made. Angela is about to put the ban hammer on her fourth (fifth?) fraternity in just a five or so year period.

Jesus, they just need to shut down the Greek system. It's a shell of what it once was...

I was Spring '02 (was also Fall '01, but that's neither here nor there). It was definitely in August when I went through it.

You sucked so bad you had to do it twice. It had to learn.

If their pledges are that big of pussies then they probably don't deserve to have a frat anyway... shut it down.

What happened to their "associate member" status? When I went through rush their big pitch was we don't have pledges. Frats/sororities/people in general have to realize that this generation of students are used to 'safe spaces' and get traumatized even by a campaign sign appearing on campus. They are going to report any minor event that makes them uncomfortable.

WOW! That's some horrible acts of hazing there! (I am assuming that the medications withheld were not serious type stuff)

Sleep deprivation? Doesn't college in general do that?

Forcing them to sleep at the house? You mean they couldn't go home to see girlfriend or mommy?

Bunch of pussies out there these days. Glad I went thru it back when things were still fun.

I get what you are saying, but the current actives in any fraternity are of the same generation that you are describing.

Back in my day, we had to drive around with our lights off at night and when someone flashed theirs at us we followed them and had to kill them. Now that an initiation

It could have been worse. They could have been forced to sleep at the old Delta Tau Delta house.

I heard that place was a real shithole.

It's pretty hypocritical to demonize mandatory attendance regarding frat activities, and yet mandatory attendance is what is required to participate in various organizations and even some classes at LSU.

How is that hazing?

This is so sad for LSU. Thing is, you can quit the fraternity whenever you want. Just walk out the door. But instead pussies like to complain about what's happening to them in an organization they willingly chose to participate in.

Its unreal.

Sounds almost like somebody is about to flunk out and preemptively told mommy and daddy it was because his fraternity was hazing the piss out of him while jacking his doctor prescribed meth.
