When is this “reclamation project” supposed to begin? It’s God awful to look at. I saw a black rubber tire in the green soup, from I-10

I believe they've already started working on them. Should be nice when done. It just needed to happen 20 years ago.

They have…it’s my understanding they’re currently testing dredge methods to see what will work best for these lakes. I believe they will start dredging 5 of the 6 lakes at the end of this year. University Lake, the biggest lake, will be dredged in phase 2.

They started months ago. Last I saw they were Near that part that almost touches acadian. The section near the bridge will be disturbed with the I-10 widening so I’d imagine that won’t be done until the two new bridges are built

The lakes aren’t racist enough to get the mayor’s full attention just yet.

I'll always remember that FG you made late in the game vs. Nebraska in the Orange Bowl. Too bad we couldn't get the ball back...

I graduated in 1999. Part of my Senior project we did a study on LSU lakes to determine the best solution to control the algae. I’m sure it wasn’t the first study. But it was determined then the best solution was dredging but the residents blocked it. Good to hear they finally doing something.

There was an excavator that fell into the water off the platform into one of the lakes

So that’s how this is going

Shouldn’t be hard to sink.

You talking about the Frogco excavator that was in the water for weeks? That’s an amphibious machine basically, but it was struggling. I doubt they use that method. A lot of huge trees were brought to surface as well.

Seems to be a really common theme in these cities that have completely fallen apart and with out of control crime
