After looking at this again I think it's fair to say the following.
- The handwriting on that ghost or whatever is more than likely the handwriting of a female.
- If it was done by a white person it would probably either be from some skinheads or drunk frat kids.. Since I don't know of many skinheads in the area and seriously doubt some frat kids would hang something like that. They would maybe actually get a stuffed monkey or something to hang on her car.. They would have put more planning into the situation since they would have had to go out of their way to even do it.
And is there anything more to this story? Or once she became aware it was being discussed on here it all sort of died down?

So her claim, is that some moron, in the middle of the afternoon, in clear view of people, stood there and began to write this on their decorative item.

That would be fine in most cases, normally shite like this doesn't bother me. If she wanted to scream this shite in her echo chamber I'd laugh it off as kids being kids, but the BIG difference here is she's trying to defame something I care about so yeah the truth does matter.
If she posted this shite on Twitter and got the desired sympathy, it would be fine but she's creating a false narrative about LSU being a place of intolerance and that simply isn't true.

when the mizzou shite was going down it was amazing to watch that one guy be like HEY GUYS WATCH OUT THE KLAN IS ON CAMPUS. and then all these people started tweeting about how the klan was throwing bricks through windows and how the police were helping them and all that
