But I didn't take Calculus 1550, I took 1551, so maybe that's why it's so confusing to me. *
The only class I ever made an F in was Calculus. I was 0.3% away from passing. I begged my professor to go over my old tests to help me pass, but he would not. He told me that if I could not pass his Calculus class then I had no business being a doctor. Fast forward a few years and that professor was having hemorrhoid surgery and I was the medical student assisting the surgeon who performed the surgery. Karma can be fun sometimes.

How’s his son supposed to get high and jerk off other dudes with his mouth in that limited amount of time?
God damn ya'll are some hard MF'ers.
I was gonna say in my original major I passed 1550 with a B and 1552 with a C...and I worked my arse of for that. When I switched to a business major and found out I had to take 1431....shite I never went to class and showed up on test days and got an A. It isn't the same level of content as the main Calc classes.

Honestly I’d contact the dean or equivalent that handles this stuff and ask them directly.
orrrrrr you could let your adult child learn a hard life lesson the old fashioned way instead of trying to teach him how to continue to live irresponsibly without any real consequences.

I lit into him and told him to CATCH UP. He said he doesn’t want to take business calculus with accounting, Econ 2010, and a finance class (i can’t remember which finance it is). The other 2 classes he needs to schedule are required humanities. He wants to take business calculus this summer. So he is being difficult, but he said he will fail it if he takes it with those other business classes. (He got a D last semester & used his exemption.)
This sounds like business college initiate imposter syndrome. If he's afraid to take all the basic core business degree classes at the same time then that's a huge red flag.
I get all people learn at different paces, but if he's intimidated by taking all the basics at once then he's not going to make it anyway imo.
Take all the video games out of his apt, cut his allowance and that should do the trick baw. focus issues seem like the only hurdle, and I would push that this challenge will force him to be better and decide if he really wants a better college outcome for himself.

In fairness, LSU is not beyond frickery. Last week they canceled one of my son's classes that's a requirement for his minor and is only offered in the Spring.
Agreed. The LSU of today is not the LSU most of us experienced. Many of the current advisors at LSU are worthless. It sounds like this kid is having some issues working out his path but it’s also very likely he’s not getting advisory support.

Do y'all remember having to sit in the Assembly Center waiting for a card to show up for a class you had to have to graduate that semester because LSU didn't get you in that class to start with?
This was in 1986. My parents were in town to visit from Houston (& take care of the tuition & books) and couldn't understand why it was so difficult to get into that one class that I had to have to graduate. I had no explanation for them...
