You can find housing cheaper than the dorms but it’s worth it to live on campus. It’s such a great experience compared to off campus year one

I don't doubt this at all but cost is a concern. Even with perfect grades and a respectable ACT, we are not expecting much financial aid above TOPS

Good bc you won’t get it. My son had perfect grades and a 27 on his ACT and is hardly getting shite from LSU above TOPS

On campus im sure you can check something with res life? i dont know if thats a thing still.

Stay away from housing around Tigerland and Campus Crossings Brightside which was a dump when I was there.

i didn't start this thread, I am assuming it was a parent that made it, wouldn't that mean that that person was the helicopter, if you are going to helicopter, do it right and keep the kids at home.
My son moved away to college, He didn't want to go to LSU, decided LaTech was more to his liking. I didn't make any decisions for him. Where he lives or what school he chose.
was just curious to the person making the thread about that if they were that concerned maybe they should keep them at home.
Funny how some people pick and choose what "independent" means.
