For those that may have been affected by the recent closings of restaurants and bars Lowe’s home-improvement‘s is hiring part time and full-time workers. At least they are in my area which is North Carolina. I am assuming and hopeful that it is like this across the country. Sorry no link you’ll need to go to Lowe’s website directly.

I love Lowe’s and DIY stuff and have always wanted to get a job there because I think it would actually be entertaining. If something ever happens to my current career I may look into it.

Costco is also hiring for temp jobs because they are so busy.

I suspect home improvement stores will be among the next lot to be shut down until further notice. Before long all the stores that will be open are grocery stores, gas stations, pharmacies, and medical service/supply places.

Though if Home Depot or Lowes added a grocery section.....

No way. I think a good argument could be made that they essential for the maintenance of your home.

They both carry a huge amount of cleaning supplies among other "essential" items. They won't be shut down. They may be limited to curbside pickup for essential type items.
It will shut the contracting world down in 1/2 second.
I have already ceased service work at commercial and retail locations at my company to limit face to face contact with the public.

Costco is NOT hiring, all those "letters from Costco Management" are fake. Some individual stores may have a position or two open but they usually already have a large pool of applicants to pull from.

I worked at a small family hardware store in high school. I learned so much about tools and things that was so helpful in life. Would recommend.

I did as well. When everyone went to the grocery stores this weekend, I went to Ace and leisurely got everything I need to disinfect, fuel, ect.
