Love bugs

Driving thru east Texas and it’s literally worse than rain. Have had to stop twice and wash the love bugs off my windshield so I can see. Never seen it this bad.

Nothing worse than riding through a swarm of those little bastards on a motorcycle.
True story: Rode from my house in N.O. over to Raceland to meet up with a friend to start our ride to Durango, CO. several years ago for a big rally.
When I got there he was just putting the finishing touches from polishing his bike. On the way there I had gone through a couple swarms of those black bastards and was needing at least a windshield cleaning.
By the time we got to Shreveport to pick up another couple riders, both us and the bikes were splattered with those miserable little bugs.
We did clean the bikes once we got to Durango, but it took a couple hours to give the bikes a good cleaning.

Not to steal the lovebug thunder here but Durango is a super cool little town. Visited for a few days last December and loved it.

I was there over the Labor Day Weekend and loved riding in that area, and all the rest of Colorado for that matter having been there 3 times prior on my motorcycle riding all through those mountains.
We left Durango a couple days past Labor Day and woke up to 38 degrees at 0' dark thirty when I broke down my tent to pack up for the ride back to N.O.
We made it as far as Wichita Falls, TX by that afternoon and it got up to 106 degrees along the ride-----------a 68 degree rise in temperature.
Made it back to N.O. the next day and the whole ride was in the heat.
